Mark RitzmanMark Ritzman

Mark Ritzman, an Associate Attorney, has experience with a range of areas of practice.  A significant proportion of his work focuses on municipal law issues including first amendment issues and election law.  He also practices in corporate law, non-profit corporate law, collections, and residential real estate.

Background and Education:

Mr. Ritzman received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 2004.  He graduated from the John Marshall Law School (Chicago) in 2008.  Mr. Ritzman was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2008.

Mr. Ritzman earned LEED GA accreditation in the Spring of 2010.  This accreditation recognizes an understanding of the LEED system green building concepts and principles, applicable to site selection, water and energy efficiency and use, material and resource selection, and building quality as they relate to both commercial and residential development and maintenance.

Work Experience:

After law school, Mr. Ritzman worked in the Legal Department of Broadwind Energy, a publicly traded company (BWEN) focused on wind energy development.  While in law school, Mr. Ritzman served as a summer clerk for Justice Kathryn E. Zenoff of the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District.

Personal:

Mr. Ritzman enjoys physical fitness and a variety of outdoor activities including wilderness canoe trips, fishing, golf and scuba diving.  He continues his education about green buildings and the transition to green energy.
